The Team

Patrick Macdougall - Chairman

An Oxford graduate, Patrick is qualified as both a barrister and a chartered accountant. He has vast experience in the financial services arena. Following corporate finance experience with Hambros and Rothschilds, he moved into general management, and was Chief Executive of two London merchant banks, one in the 1970s and one in the 1990s. He has also spent 8 years in Hong Kong as Executive Director of Jardine Matheson, in charge of the Financial Services portfolio as well as operations in the US, Australia and the Middle East. After retiring from the City in 1998, he spent 6 years as Chairman of Arlington plc, the largest developer and operator of business parks in Europe.

Martin Murnaghan - Executive Vice-Chairman

A graduate in Computer Science and Economics, Martin has over 25 years experience in IT and banking. This includes 15 years as CEO and strategic technology advisor to organisations including Citibank, AT&T, Salomon Bros and Union Bank of Switzerland. During this time he has been involved in a wide cross section of business functions including strategic planning, software development and support, hardware and communications, training and development and procurement policies.

Ross Kelly - Director, Middle East

Ross is a graduate of Management Science at Trinity College Dublin and joined Vizor in 2002. Ross's initial responsibility was client liaison for In-Reg installations at AZN, Slovenia and FSA, UK. He then moved on to project manage a number of key In-Reg installations in 2004 and 2005. In 2006, Ross assumed management of all business delivery functions in Dublin and was subsequently elected to the role of Managing Director in early 2007. Ross has recently relocated to Dubai, UAE and is currently Director of Operations in the Middle East region.

Conor Crowley - Technical Director

Conor is a graduate of Computer Science at Trinity College Dublin and is a founding member of Vizor. Joining us in 2001, Conor became the creative force behind our product, In-Reg, and led the R&D team to its successful completion in 2004. Conor has led teams on several large-scale projects, including High Street Firms for the FSA, before becoming Vizor's Technical Director in 2006. Conor has executive responsibility for Vizor's headquarters in Dublin.

Gerry McKeown - Non-Executive Director

Educated at Rockwell College and UCD (Physics), Gerry's first employment was with Ontario Hydro in Toronto in the late 60s where he started and progressed his career in Computer Software. Returning to Ireland in 1971, he was employed by the IAWS to assist with the development of IT Systems for the Agricultural community in general. In 1974, he established McKeown Software which went on to employ over 200 people in Ireland, UK, and Hong Kong. Gerry disposed of his interest in McKeown Software in 1999 and now continues his career as an investor and Director in IT companies in the UK and Ireland.

Brian Kelly - Non-Executive Director

Educated in UCD, Brian is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and an entrepreneur with an extensive investment portfolio in the technology sectors in Ireland, the UK and the United States. An investor in Vizor since early 2002, he has played a very active and supportive role in the development of the company, initially, as an advisor to the management team and later as a non-executive director. Brian has over 30 years of commercial experience in a variety of disciplines including accounting, property and communications.

Karen O'Connor - Non-Executive Director

A Computer Science graduate from the University of Dublin, Trinity College, Karen has considerable experience in many areas of IT and Insurance regulation. Prior to joining Vizor, she has held management positions at the Department of Enterprise Trade and Employment in Ireland, where her role as an insurance supervisor included responsibility for the regulation and supervision of the affairs of authorised companies operating in the Irish insurance market. Karen has been heavily involved in the business requirements and design of our product, In-Reg, since 2001 and was responsible for the delivery of several implementations for major clients, including the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA).
