Patrick Macdougall | Chairman

An Oxford graduate, Patrick has vast experience in the financial services arena. Following corporate finance experience with Hambros and Rothschilds, he moved into general management, and was Chief Executive of two London merchant banks, one in the 1970s and one in the 1990s. He has also spent 8 years in Hong Kong as Executive Director of Jardine Matheson, in charge of the Financial Services portfolio as well as operations in the US, Australia and the Middle East. After retiring from the City in 1998, he spent 6 years as Chairman of Arlington plc, the largest developer and operator of business parks in Europe. Patrick is qualified as both a barrister and a chartered accountant.

Ross Kelly | Managing Director

As a one of Vizor’s managing directors, Ross takes overall responsibility for the software implementation function within Vizor. Heading up our regional implementation hub in Dubai, Ross oversees our highly experienced and successful implementation teams on projects all over the world. Ross joined Vizor in 2002 bringing a wealth of experience in analysis, project management, and implementation methodologies. Over the years he has headed up teams that have successfully delivered large-scale systems to customers such as the FSA, UK, the DIFC Authority, Dubai and the AZN, Slovenia. In 2006 Ross was promoted to Head of Implementation and became managing director in 2007. Ross is a graduate of Management and Information Systems Science at Trinity College Dublin.

Conor Crowley | Managing Director

Bringing extensive experience in the IT sector, Conor joined Vizor as a founding member in 2000 and has been the creative force behind Vizor Software ever since. In his capacity as technical director, Conor is responsible for the design and architecture of the product, and has led the R&D teams through to the realization of Vizor Software as an enterprise-class regulatory system. Conor also works extensively with customers to design innovative solutions on large-scale projects and is responsible for incorporating customer feedback into product innovation cycles. Conor holds a first-class bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin.

Martin Murnaghan | Non-Executive Director

Martin has more than 30 years experience in IT and banking, including 15 years as CEO and strategic technology advisor to organisations including Citibank, AT&T, Salomon Bros and Union Bank of Switzerland. During this time he has been involved in a wide cross section of business functions including strategic planning, software development and support, hardware and communications, training and development and procurement policies. Martin is a graduate in Computer Science and Economics.

Karen O’Connor | Non-Executive Director

Karen joined Vizor as a founding member in 2000 from the Irish Financial Regulator where her senior role as an insurance supervisor included responsibility for the regulation and supervision of the affairs of authorised companies operating in the Irish insurance market. In her capacity as Director of Business Development, Karen was heavily involved in the business requirements and design of Vizor Software, and her 20 years’ of regulatory and supervisory experience have been invaluable to the growth and success of Vizor.

Gerry McKeown | Non-Executive Director

Gerry joined Vizor as non-executive director in 2007, bringing decades of experience in the software industry. In 1974 Gerry founded McKeown Software, a highly successful software company that went on to employ more than 200 people in Ireland, UK, and Hong Kong. Gerry disposed of his interest in McKeown Software in 1999 and now continues his career as an investor and director in IT companies in the UK and Ireland. Gerry was Educated at Rockwell College and at UCD where he studied physics.

Brian Kelly | Non-Executive Director

Educated at UCD, Brian is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and an entrepreneur with an extensive investment portfolio in the technology sectors in Ireland, the UK and the United States. An investor in Vizor since early 2002, he has played a very active and supportive role in the development of the company, initially as an advisor to the management team and later as a non-executive director. Brian has over 30 years of commercial experience in a variety of disciplines including accounting, communications, and property.
